Administrator, Server operations and Azure

DanChurchAid (DCA) is looking for a Server Operations and Azure Administrator to help with the daily operations and support of our Windows server platform and the design and management of our Azure infrastructure, serving the entire organization. 
As part of the ICT support team, you will have a challenging and varied workday. Your primary tasks will be the day-to-day operation and administration of DCA's existing ICT infrastructure, from networking and connectivity, Windows AD, Exchange and Office 365 platform, Skype for Business/Lync and Azure.
Together with your colleagues and external providers, you will also be involved in the continuous development of the ICT technical platform, through a number of projects that are implemented in line with technological development and changing business needs.
You will work both within ICT and in cross-cutting project teams on the design, migration and daily operations of a cloud-based infrastructure, to deliver and support innovative applications and mobility solutions that add value to the organisation.
You will also act as an in-house expert to mentor and assist technical staff in provisioning Azure services and applications associated with BI and analytics, encryption and security, and related activities.
Areas of responsibility:
  • Lead in the design and migration to an enterprise Azure framework and Office 365.
  • Be an integral part of the ICT support team and continuously delivers qualified and timely end-user support, communicating across the organization, to colleagues at our headquarters in Copenhagen, as well as DCA offices and programs worldwide.
  • Server logging, monitoring and event management, release management, patch management.
  • Participate in the creation, maintenance and dissemination of internal ICT documentation.
  • Create policies and procedures for the ICT organization for data security.

  • Experience with Azure Hosting, Azure AD, SAML/Federation, Azure security, Encryption at rest, Encryption in transit.
  • Understanding of automation in deploying and implementation in a cloud based infrastructure.
  • Strong knowledge of Azure DR, backup, public cloud networking, Network Security Groups, Role Based Access Controls, VPN, storage.
  • Solid understanding of IP networking setup and administration.
  • Solid understanding of IT security and compliance.
  • Hands on experience with PowerShell scripts and automated scripts to deploy services in Azure.
  • Experience implementing API's for automating data-center activities.
  • Strong knowledge of compute, storage and network architecture.
  • Strong knowledge and expertise in virtualization (Hyper-V) and managing cloud based virtualized infrastructure.
  • Experience in rapid troubleshooting of HW, OS and App issues.
  • Hands-on experience managing Microsoft SQL Server 2008 or higher.
  • Experience with load balancers, caching layers and real-time event processing.
  • Solid understanding of the principles of data protection and data security (PII, encryption technologies, tokenisation and key management)
  • Experience with capacity planning and performance tuning.
  • Knowledge of Azure Operations management suite (OMS).
  • Experience with SharePoint / SharePoint online an advantage.

We are looking for:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in Systems Administration or Application support
  • Azure Certified (Exam-70-533), Office365 (Exam 70-532, 70-534) an advantage
  • Preferably MCSE MCTP Windows and Exchange, Server Certification, Hyper-V.
  • Cloud and Data Center Automation such as SCCM 2012/2016 an advantage.
  • Proven track record of strong project management skills with ability to manage multiple small to large projects in a cross-functional environment
  • Ability to clearly document and comply with audit requirements.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills in English and fluency in Danish; ability to present and explain technical information to diverse types of audiences
  • Experience with PRINCE2, Agile, Scrum and/or other industry standard methodologies an advantage
  • Structured, innovative and service minded.
